Study 1 units of study

The Study 1 program is the core across-curriculum program in the BTeach/MTeach. Study 1 consists of the following sequential units of study in the three semesters of coursework in the degrees:

On-line Resources
On-line resources for the Study 1 program (including policy documents and some lecture materials) can be found in a number of places, including:

  • the libraries and labs page, which includes a link to the Curriculum Library site on Education. The Curriculum library site contains departmental and system policy documents.
  • the Study 1 Website (resources for the 1st year case studies and other resources)
  • under the section on this page for the relevant unit of study (this is where lecture materials will be placed)

EDBT5500 Introduction to Teaching and Learning (Semester 1, Year 1)

This unit of study involves lectures, seminars, school visits and on-line learning on the nature of schooling, teaching and learning. It is founded on a study of real cases from the world of schools in the context of contemporary research on learning, teaching and schools.
