Degree Pathways in Secondary School Teaching
There are two pathways to complete a teaching qualification for secondary school teaching at Sydney University.

| Programs |
An integrated program in which Education studies are commenced in 1st year along with studies in other faculties. Candidates may graduate after 3 years with a general degree in Arts or Science, or continue for another 1 or 2 years to complete a teaching qualification |
Candidates complete a first degree (e. g. in Arts, Economics or Science) and then enrol in a postgraduate teacher education program. |

To become a secondary school teacher, you may wish to consider
- the Bachelor of Education and Joint (double) degree program for Secondary school teacher education
- the postgraduate Master of Teaching and Bachelor of Teaching programs for Secondary school teacher education.
- pre-requisites (including recommended HSC subjects), UAI entry levels and other information relevant for applicants wishing to gain a school teaching qualification in a particular subject areas taught in the secondary school.
