What do we mean by “e-learning” and “Learning Sciences"?
E-learning, ICT-supported learning, technology-based education there are a lot of ways to describe the convergence of modern technology with learning and teaching. By e-learning, we mean the many different ways in which information and communication technology (ICT) is being used to support people’s learning from the classroom to the workplace.
How can technology improve learning? There are a lot of myths, fads, and buzzwords out there, but there is also a growing trove of research-based principles and successful practice, founded in the work of the Learning Sciences. The Learning Sciences are the many disciplines, including cognitive science, computer science, psychology and education that contribute to our understanding of learning.
