Bachelor of Teaching and Master of Teaching -- course structure

Available study modes generally follow those shown below but these may change in any given year.
In 2009, 'BTeach (Primary), Part Time/Evening' was replaced with a mode that operated in the same way as the 'BTeach (Secondary), Part Time'.

Part time - reduced load
Part time study may be offered in 2010 via a reduced load mode. Reduced load students operate from the same timetable as full time students and are enrolled in fewer units.
Please be aware that we do not offer a specific timetable for part time students. If you wish to take on part time study, you will still need to be available for classes on any and/or all days of the week, Mon-Fri, 9am – 6pm and your timetable will vary for each semester and within each semester. For example, depending on your timetable you will be required to attend university on 3 days a week in one semester and on 5 days a week in another. Professional Experiences units are completed in full time block mode which means you will need to attend the school (or early childhood centre) 5 days a week for each 4-5 week session.
Graduating with the BTeach or the MTeach
After passing all coursework in the first three semesters of a graduate-entry teaching degree, students can choose whether to exit with the Bachelor of Teaching (a four-year qualification), or continue for a further semester and complete the additional units of study required for a Master of Teaching (a five-year qualification).
More detail about the merits of each option is available on the ".../Current students/Graduate-entry teaching/Course structure" page.
