International students and professional experiences
International students undertaking the Master of Teaching program may be able to complete their final block of professional experience (the nine-week internship in the fourth semester of the course), in their home country or elsewhere overseas.
Students wishing to pursue this option will need to arrange their own school placement and have the school agree to the conditions for an internship, which must be approved by the Faculty of Education and Social Work.
International internships are organised at the beginning of second year of the course, so students will need to have negotiated a placement, and had it approved by the faculty, before commencing their third semester of study.
