BEd(Early Childhood Education) -- course structure

Students are introduced to teaching by observing and interacting with small groups very early in Semester One of first year. This will later expand to include experience in a range of early childhood contexts.

In-depth study of child development and learning will be a core component of the course, along with units of study in key learning areas (for example, language arts, mathematics, science, health and wellbeing).

Course material will also examine the important relationships between early-childhood educators, parents, caregivers and the community.

The exact structure of the degree has yet to be determined; details will be posted here once they are confirmed.
