Bachelor of Education (Secondary - Human Movement and Health Education)
This specialist degree gives students a professional qualification to teach in the Key Learning Area of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE).
This course is designed to help students in PDHPE, primarily within the secondary school context, although some training to teach at primary school level is also included. While the focus is on teacher education, graduates are also able to work in settings related to community health, recreation, sport and fitness.
Students undertake generalist units in education and professional studies in human movement and health education in first year. Compulsory Science units and an additional two units from the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science or Faculty of Economics and Business ensure students are introduced to a wide variety of subject areas.
